Thesis Title:
Are we really sure? Determining organic contaminants from ancient biomarkers in 2.4Ga dolomites from the Pilbara, W.A.
Research:
Research into the earliest forms of life on Earth is a highly controversial area of study, with contamination of samples from human and other biogenic sources playing a major role in invalidating findings. My work deals with the most common contaminants, their methods of transport, and how to separate them from meaningful results.
